Season’s Greetings from Manitoba Hydro

This article was published in December 2021 and may be outdated.

The holiday season gives us all a chance to take a break and gather with our family and friends, and to remind ourselves of what’s truly important.

The pandemic upended each of our lives in different ways. Only recently have we seen our lives begin to return to normal, or as normal as normal can be today.

Through it all our dedicated employees have continued to bring you safe, reliable electricity and natural gas service. We are also planning for the future to ensure we will always be there for you, providing you the warmth and light we all need on a cold winter’s night.

As 2021 comes to an end, let us also take the time to remember those who are not as fortunate. Many Manitobans have seen their lives and the lives of their families impacted by COVID-19. For those experiencing economic disruption, the Neighbours Helping Neighbours program can provide one-time emergency funding to assist families struggling with their energy bills.

Administered by The Salvation Army, Neighbours Helping Neighbours relies on private and corporate donations to fund its services. Since 2004, more than 9,100 Manitoban families have been helped. For more information about the program, including how to donate, please visit Neighbours Helping Neighbours.

On behalf of all our employees across this great province, I wish you the best of the season. May you all enjoy a happy, healthy and safe 2022.
